Human Centered Design

Prototyping.png

People can love your product if you haven’t employed user centered design, and that’s fine. However the range of how people feel about it will be very wide, leading to mixed reviews. When you prototype using some form of design, the bottom quartile of the data moves up and the top grows as well. There’s still significant overlap, but the people who love your product love it a lot more, and the people who hate your product hate it a lot less. Even if the averages don’t move as far as I’ve depicted, that’s a huge gain.
